LEAD Vocals
Diamond Lill
Diamond Lill has made Sonora, CA her home for decades after migrating from the Bay Area through New Mexico. Captivated by Hollywood movie musicals, she dreamed of being a performer. To overcome her shyness, she auditioned for a professional production, leading her to train at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco.
For over four decades, Diamond Lill has taken on numerous acting roles while pursuing her passion for music. She has performed in various venues, opening for artists like Bailey and the Boys, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Holly Dunn, and has recorded studio cassettes and CDs of original material and covers. She also fronted the ’60s girl group, the Earth Angels.
As the lead singer in bands such as The New Frontier Band and High and Mighty, Diamond Lill has made her mark in the music scene, even recording an album with West of Next. She has collaborated with notable artists like David Frizzle and Peggy Seeger.
Now, Diamond Lill is thrilled to introduce The ElderBerries—a labor of love featuring her favorite local musicians and friends. “We all share the joy of sharing music that tells a story or simply makes you move,” she says. The harmonies between Diamond Lill, Laura Dyken, and Julie Johnson are food for the soul, uplifting audiences with good music and putting smiles on faces!
